WSP assisted Kemira in making risk analyses with the purpose of identifying risks due to ground instability caused by breakage of underground pipes, due to chemical processes in the ground, geological/geotechnical conditions or external influences of other kind (e.g. extreme weather such as storm or flooding).
The work started with an inspection of the tanks, bunds and basins followed by facility-wise analyses and “what-if”-analyses of selected risks. The analyses were made by groups consisting of expertise from Kemira, WSP Environmental, WSP Fire and Risk and WSP Construction Design.
