The Place is an innovative headquarters building designed by Renzo Piano for Sellar Property. WSP is the project co-ordinator and BIM consultant as well as providing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, including structural, MEP, ground engineering and environmental services.

National Route N3

National Route N3

Van Reenen’s Pass is part of the N3 National route across the Drakensberg Mountains between Johannesburg and Durban, the busiest transport corridor in South Africa. The advanced capabilities of BIM, enabled complex design criteria to be addressed, such as benched (terraced) slopes for deep cuttings and high-fill embankments.

WSP used BIM to achieve sustainable design of new research and development facilities for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) on Ford Island in Pearl Harbour, Hawaii.

City Line, Stockholm

The City Line is a project to drill and blast a new 6 km rail tunnel under central Stockholm. The project is divided into three major contracts and WSP is designing the largest and most complex part. Our design team has created its own BIM model, which incorporates the architecture, construction, rock design, M&E and light construction.

The Crusell Bridge, the most prominent bridge in Finland to be designed and built using BIM, was inaugurated on 14 June 2011 in Helsinki. This was the first bridge to be built using comprehensive BIM, including time and management dimensions.
