The Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has policy responsibility for museums, galleries and libraries, the built heritage, the arts, sport, education, broadcasting and the media and tourism industries, the Millennium and the Community Funds. For a period of seven years, WSP was responsible for the strategic management and operation of five DCMS properties - in excess of 120,000 square feet - in central London.
WSP appointed and managed a significant number of specialist contractors to provide the following facilities management services:

WSP engaged in multi-tenant management as manager of the Estate as well as the building management services for the main building in Cockspur street and a smaller property at St James Square.
In addition to the above services, WSP also worked on several ad hoc projects including collaborative work with CAD on space planning and furniture requisition for all buildings. The design, procurement and installation of a disabled chair lift was implemented at the Cockspur Street property together with a staff dining facility for 500 occupants of the building and live Information Centre.
