Earlier this year, WSP Sweden recruited a small team, tasked with improving our expertise in Biogas. Now, having recruited a number of additional staff, the specialist team has big ambitions and aims to double in size, offering clients a portfolio of services from strategic studies and permit applications to the design and construction of Biogas Plants.
Opportunities and investment in biogas have ballooned in the last 10 years and Sweden is now far ahead of international standards in this field.
"We estimate that there are currently planned biogas projects with a value of one to 1 Billion SEK" said Katarina Starberg (pictured), who heads up the biogas venture from our Stockholm office.
"And this is just a start, we will see biogas projects in the coming years valued at up to 10 billion SEK."
