The automotive industry in Sweden

The crisis in the Swedish automotive industry is clear, no other industry in Sweden generate as much employment for contractors and subcontractors. If the number of jobs in vehicle production decreased by 1 000, further 1 600 jobs will be lost in the industry according to a study by WSP Analysis & Strategy made on behalf of Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket).
