WSP Environmental was commissioned by Altor for the acquisition of the Åkers Group from STC Interfinans
Åkers Group is the world’s leading producer of cast and forged rolls for the steel and aluminum industries with net sales of approximately EUR 340 million and an operating profit of approximately EUR 30 million on an annual basis. The company was founded in 1580 and started its production of rolls production in 1806. The company has its head office in Åkers Styckebruk, Sweden, and approximately 2,000 employees at its 12 production units in Belgium (1 site), China (1 site), France (4 sites), Slovenia (1 site), Sweden (2 sites) and USA (3 sites).
Johan Lindroth, Senior Adviser Mergers and Acquisitions, was the assignment manager and responsible client contact. Mr. Lindroth was assisted primarily by Torbjörn Brorson, Mats Hagman, Annie Newbery and Brock Newbery. WSP Environmental´s global Due Diligence network also assisted the project. The commission focused on compliance, management systems and environmental impact.
