Downtown New York will see a World Trade Center (WTC) complex with monumental high rise buildings of superior commercial space, a modernized transportation system, cultural and memorial landmarks.

WSP Cantor Seinuk is honored to be the structural engineer for the following buildings at the WTC site:

  • Three new skyscrapers (One World Trade Center, “The Freedom Tower,” Towers 2 and 3)
  • 9/11 Memorial and Museum
  • Retail Complex
  • Performing Arts Center below grade structure

World renowned architects contributing to the redevelopment of the WTC site are:
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Foster and Partners, Adamson Associates, Richard Rogers Partnership, Davis Brody Bond, Gehry Partners, and HOK.

Developing the structural systems for the buildings on the WTC site, WSP Cantor Seinuk created innovative concrete core walls in combination with steel frames for
lateral force resistance and exceptional security. With a multitude of safety systems exceeding the NYC Building Code and Port Authority requirements, the structural engineering provides extraordinary resistance and performance as well as advanced security systems for the building’s occupants.
