The building was founded in different manners, cement directly on the mountainside or plain ground, as well as cemented bearing wooden poles.
- The foundation study included the following:
- Sampling and level control of ground water
- Control of foundations
- Samples from wooden poles
- Measurements for control of seating
The results of the foundations study resulted in Eurobor injections as the wooden poles were partially rotten, probably caused by a leaking sewage pipe as the water samples show high levels of bacteria.
The damage had not yet affected the bearing in the poles, so Eurobor injections were adequate to stop the damage from spreading. The different types of foundations found in the building, as well as neighbouring buildings meant that conventional reinforcement would not be adequate. In addition, conventional reinforcements cost much more than Eurobor injections.
