The installations at Alufluor AB for manufacturing aluminium fluoride, silicon dioxide and calcium fluoride are covered by the ordinance on review of environmentally dangerous activities (SFS 2004:989). The regulation concerns installations that are covered by the IPPC-directive but do not have a permit pursuant the Swedish Environmental Code.
The company is obliged to send in a report to the regional authorities. In the report it has to be described e.g. how the demands for best available technique are fulfilled and whether present decisions cover the conditions needed to fulfil the demands. Alufluor AB has presented a report which has been approved of by the regional authorities in Skåne. WSP Environmental supported Alufluor AB in the preparation of the report and also assisted the company in a meeting with the authorities.
