Lahega develops, manufactures and markets chemical products for the automotive, hygiene and manufacturing sectors. It is the market leader in the Nordic countries in car care products. The company is actively involved in reducing the environmental, safety and health impact of their products and most of its car care products are approved by Kemikaliesvepet. Lahega has applied for a license under the Swedish Environmental Code to significantly increase production at its Helsingborg facility.
WSP is supporting the company in this application. Our involvement has included strategic advice relating to the application, assistance during the consultative phase and preparation of the application documents (the main application, technical description and the EIA). This work builds on the very significant environmental support that WSP has given to Lahega. This has included legal advice, environmental investigations, management audits and a strategy for self-monitoring according to the Swedish Environmental Code and performed periodic environmental inspections.
