WSP SELLS initial contract was to study the feasibility of installing sanitary sewers to serve 30 homes (currently on septic systems) in the neighborhood of North Kirby Lane. The study was then extended to include an additional 29 residences. The study also examined costs associated with installing a water main to service 12 homes currently on wells, gas mains and drainage improvements.
Alternative routes were developed for the new sewer line and physical constraints such as bedrock, topography, wetlands, and floor elevations of the residential houses determined the practicality of each scenario.
Awards
WSP SELLS received a 2008 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) NY Gold Award for Excellence in the Category of Water and Wastewater for our work on this project.
