Martha Jefferson Hospital is a 520,000 square foot replacement hospital located in Charlottesville, VA. Construction began in the summer of 2009 with an expected completion year of 2012.
WSP Mountain detailed two bed towers, the cancer care wing, the imaging dock and the main hospital area. WSP Mountain’s team worked closely with the fabricator, erector, engineer and architect during the design and steel erection. The use of WSP Mountain’s 3D Tekla model was crucial for ensuring that the many changes on this project were carried out efficiently and accurately.
