WSP Mountain is detailing the structural steel for the Gilmerton Lift Bridge in located in the city of Chesepeake, VA on the Southern branch of the Elizabeth River The new bridge will replace the existing double-leaf bascule bridge built in 1938.
The replacement lift bridge will span 250 feet, and when lifted, have a veritical clearance of up to 135 feet.
Construction is expected to be completed by Fall of 2013.
