BMW Dynamics Centre in Dingolfing

On behalf of the BMW Group, WSP assumed general planning for a dynamics centre in Dingolfing. Today, the centre supplies the BMW Group's dealer organisation with replacement parts for vehicles around the world.

BMW Dynamics Centre in Dingolfing

The new dynamics centre is divided into two separate building units. The northern building is situated on a high plateau of soil exchange material and is dominated by a four-storey, terrace-shaped administration building and the "floating bar" of the i-point. The other building, the central hall complex, is connected to a low loading zone in the south, where receipt of goods takes place. The goods receipt area at the western depot is connected to the container unloading area and two railway sidings.

To allow for intersection-free traffic on site, a skywalk on level 01 connects the administration building to the linking bridges of the hall complex, which also integrate social rooms and administration zones. This enables smooth goods receipt and goods issue.

To optimise the construction processes, all essential steel and reinforced steel constructions and components are precast parts. The façade materials of all the buildings have a natural finish and present a consistent appearance.

In intense planning meetings with BMW Group's real estate and facility management and the future user, the logistics hall was optimised with regard to construction and materials as well as investment and operating costs. A significant reduction of the first cost estimate was achieved.
