Developing clear and concise 3D model representations has been the extension of our efforts in the CADD environment. With the use of AutoCAD, Microstation Triforma, CATIA, and most recently REVIT model creation packages, we have been able to reflect our designs in ways not previously possible without long term learning curves to be overcome.
REVIT, considered to be a true Building Information Modeling software, is a new MEP building design and documentation system. The product, which has only been made recently available, is specifically tailored for practice in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines. This newest technology is being integrated into relevant projects and used for MEP coordination.
CATIA, (Digital Project) allows users to create detailed layouts of HVAC and associated trades. The myriad of tools allows users to create 3-D virtual models which assist with the actual coordination of the design and development of equipment.
Microstation Triforma is another 3D Modeling product currently used in our US offices for engineering design. This 3D, solids modeling software offers various capabilities for drafting and modeling as well as documentation.
These new technologies have been coupled with our 39 years of engineering expertise to give our clients the clearest possible description of our design intent, and allow them for the first time to see inside our designs and layouts. This allows our clients to truly participate in our design process via virtual views of our system integration points and see how the design comes together with multiple trades.
