Developing clear and concise 3-D model representations has been the extension of our efforts in the CADD environment. With the use of AutoCAD, Microstation Triforma, CATIA, and REVIT model creation packages, we have been able to reflect our designs in ways not previously possible without long term learning curves to overcome.
REVIT, considered to be a true Building Information Modeling software, is an MEP building design and documentation system. The product, which has become increasingly popular, is specifically tailored for practice in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines. This newest technology has been integrated into numerous firm projects and used for all MEP coordination.
Mircostation Triforma is another 3-D Modeling product currently used in-house for engineering design. This 3-D solids modeling software offers various capabilities for drafting and modeling as well documentation.
CATIA (Digital Project) allows users to create detailed layouts of HVAC equipment and associated trades. The myriad of tools allows the firm’s user to create 3-D virtual models which assist with the actual coordination of the design and development of equipment.
These new technologies have been coupled with over 40 years of engineering expertise to give our clients the clearest possible description of our design intent, and allow them for the first time to see inside our designs and layouts. This allows them to truly participate in our design process via virtual views of our system integration points and see how the design comes together with multiple trades.
