Originally envisioned as a mixed-use project with a hotel occupying the first 12 floors and the upper 48 levels containing condominiums, the City’s need for more residences downtown changed the program to be made up entirely of privately-owned units.
The façade, made entirely of floor-to-ceiling glass panels accented with glass and metal fins, creates a textural layer that beautifully captures and reflects light.
731 Lexington Avenue climbs 54 stories into the Manhattan sky and has become a significant figure in New York City’s Upper East Side skyline. WSP Flack + Kurtz applied numerous innovative technologies during the design of this high-rise.
This project consisted of renovation and conversion of an existing 92,000 SF, single-story warehouse into an internet co-location facility with approximately 126,000 SF.
