Environmental management and compulsory procedures

WSP provides services in managing environmental law and requirements that are set by it for corporations and also support services for public acquisitions.

Our services also include development of environmental management systems of corporations, progression of sustainable development and liquidations for application of the EU-directives.

In environmental management WSP helps the client connect with its operational environment in interacting ecologically, socially and economically with it. Applying for environmental permits, development and emission plans as well as impact and monitoring plans are drawn up in cooperation with the client. We have long term experience in environmental impact assessments of the energy production sector, ISO 9000 and 1400 systems, life cycle analysis, experimentation and environmental protection and also permits concerning water legislation.

Today’s market prerequisites corporations to meet the standards set by society. WSP provides, for instance, RoHS and WEEE project management services for the electronics industry. The RoHS directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), forbids the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronical devices. REACH influences in numerous ways corporations and industry which are involved with manufacturing of chemical substances, chemicals and products import to EU and users of substances. We offer compliance studies, separate or total product inspections for the products as well as the process evaluation to ensure that an agreement or a directive is met.

In public acquisitions there is a need of understanding the needs of both buyer and bidder as well as strong knowledge of the acquisition method itself. WSP has participated in buying a service for using waste in energy production, where WSP drew up offers and invitations for tenders in both the national and the international market.
