For environmental impact assessments and permits we are able to provide Natura 2000, biotope and environmental liquidations. On basis of the liquidations we are able to estimate the environmental impact of the action and to draw up plans and licence applications.
WSP also provides sedimentation and slurry reservoirs, dams, irrigation fields and wetland planning. WSP is experienced in other water system remediation also, such as dredging, establishing protection areas, base sediment remediation, liming, removing of aquatic vegetation, grazing and oxidation.
We participate actively in the development of the field. We have at our disposal the latest studies by which we estimate the impact of activities on the environment and fishing industry. For instance, the first fry grayling were found, in Merenkurkku in 2005, by using sampling designed by WSP. In our assignments we combine our biological, mathematical, economical and social know-how.
In licence applications concerning the legislation of the environment and water bodies we offer turnkey services, where WSP performs the environmental surveys, draws up the documents and develops impact monitoring.
