The Riverside South Complex is situated on 75 acres of the former Penn Central rail yards and is strategically located on the fashionable Upper West Side of Manhattan. When completed, it will be the largest residential development in New York City history.
Apartment buildings range in height from 15 to 49 stories and resemble the classic architecture of the 1920’s and 1930’s. Altogether there will be 5,700 apartment units in sixteen buildings and 3,500 parking spaces in structured facilities under the residential buildings. The retail space and underground car parking will encompass 1.8 million square feet of the development alone.
To date, WSP Cantor Seinuk have undertaken structural design for 8 of the residential buildings and all to a very fast-track program. These are Riverside South Buildings C, D, E, F, G (for Trump New World and all complete), and H, I and J (for Extell and currently under design/construction).
