Our project of Kerry Centre at 683 King's Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong, has won Autodesk HK Building Information Modeling (BIM) Awards 2009 for the great achievement in implementation of BIM to enhance the design standards.
Since 2006, WSP HK has been providing full integrated engineering consultancy to this commercial building developed by Kerry Properties with a total GFA of around 47,500 sq.m.
In addition to the design services of MEP and Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering, WSP Hong Kong was also assigned for the consulting service to build a BIM model for the project which comprises of full details of architectural, structural, MEP and facade. This comprehensive model has greatly assisted the client and project management team in the design planning and collaboration of various parties, particularly before the commencement of the construction. It clearly demonstrated power and benefits of the BIM, and the potential wider application in the future.
