With non-UK earnings representing 69% of our revenue for 2010, we were singled out for our work on iconic projects such as the Freedom Tower (One WTC) and the World Trade Center Memorial, stadiums for the World Cup in South Africa, the Shard, the City Line and the Zayed National Museum, which have helped to put us on the map in many different parts of the world.
Attention was drawn to our geographical diversity, which has helped us “respond to opportunities and changing markets around the world”.
Our success on the City Line in Stockholm was highlighted as “a catalyst for growth in (WSP’s) UK rail business, leading to important project wins such as Bond Street Station for Crossrail and London Bridge Station for Network Rail.”
The NCE/ACE Consultants of the Year Awards was launched by Chris Cole, in his capacity of vice chairman of the UK-based Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) at a prestigious ceremony at Claridges Hotel in London on Friday 25th March.
