Through our Environmental & Energy business which accounts for 13% of Group revenues, we support and advise clients in order to minimise if not avoid their environmental impacts. We are leaders in the sector and work closely with industry bodies, clients and government agencies to influence the sustainability agenda.
During the year we hosted the Business Council for Sustainability General Meeting which included a keynote presentation by Sir Jonathan Porritt, the renowned sustainability and environmental campaigner.
Our environmental services deploy a wide range of specialist solutions, with skills that include acoustics and vibration, air quality, ecology, archaeological and cultural heritage, green buildings, soil and groundwater remediation, asbestos management, waste management, and producer responsibility. Through this diverse skills base we have a positive impact on the environment, and continue to take a lead in advising clients on sustainable solutions, supporting environmental impact assessments and through due diligence transaction services.
In the Property sector many of our consultants are registered with the internationally recognised organisations such as the Building Research Establishment in the UK, and the USA Green Building Council that promote and rate the environmental improvements and energy efficiency that are incorporated into buildings.
In the Transportation & Infrastructure sector we continue to support transport integration and reduce congestion whilst responding to the wider environmental concerns associated with large infrastructure projects.
