Stewardship contract for North and East London, UK

As network steward WSP’s responsibilities are wide ranging and cover the management of the road network on a day-to-day basis

WSP were appointed by Transport for London in 2002 to be responsible for the Stewardship Contract for North and East London. The contract runs for 5 years and WSP is responsible for the delivery of more than £25M of works per year. 

The North and East Area covers Barking and Dagenham, Enfield, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Waltham Forrest and Haringey and most of Tower Hamlets & Hackney except for the Inner Ring and A13 DBFO. 

WSP brought improvement to the management of the operation and maintenance of the network, reduce delays from operational operations, improved roadside and worker safety and an enhanced network for the road user.
