The £110m project involves the replacement of Leeds' entire street lighting stock with new modern energy efficient street lights to make the city’s streets safer and brighter. The project will also see the replacement of lighting for tunnels, pedestrian subways and cycle lanes.
WSP was responsible for:
- Preparation of invitation to negotiate
- Production of output specifications
- Evaluation of invitation to negotiate bids
- Negotiation of preferred bidder
- Selection of preferred bidder.
WSP’s advice enabled Leeds City Council to :
- Minimise energy usage and light pollution
- Improve security and road safety
- Deter crime
- Minimise the technical risks associated with tender documentation.
- Improve supervision and administration of the tender process
