Active Manufacturing Facility in East Rutherford, USA

WSP was contracted to characterise and remediate an impacted aquifer at an active manufacturing facility in New Jersey. At the site there had been a historic release of methylene chloride from an active chemical loading area which had contaminated a stratified aquifer with concentrations exceeding 250mg/l. Because the client no longer owned the facility, completing the work while minimising interference to on-going manufacturing operations was essential.
