Taskforce was initiated by our Chief Executive, Chris Cole, in 1995, to give professionals in the early stages of their career a real opportunity to influence group initiatives by offering advice and opinion on business related strategy. This initiative continues to gain momentum, success and recognition within the Group and externally with our shareholders and clients. Taskforce groups have been established in UK, South Africa, the Nordic countries (Sweden, Finland and Norway) and USA.
Each year the Taskforces are charged with completing research on an agreed selection of business related topics, with members meeting regularly to discuss their findings. Their work culminates in presentations to the Executive Committees and Group plc Board.
Taskforce organises and facilitates an annual conference for over 100 delegates from throughout the global business. The conference provides an informal opportunity for the delegates to get to know each other and find out more about WSP, the people in it and what work they do – whilst also having fun – in a day and a half’s worth of presentations and workshops which tackle various issues that WSP face both internally and externally.
